The countdown continues……one more sleep!!!

Welcome back to the countdown to the 5 January release of the NEW January – June 2021 Mini Catalogue. That’s correct……you will be able to begin making your purchases tomorrow!!!

The new mini catalogue is packed full of lovely product but today I would like to introduce you to one of the fabulous products found in the Sale-A-Bration brochure. The Corner Bouquet stamp set is available FREE when you make a purchase of $90. I will admit that I was a little unsure as to how I would use this set but once I received it and started playing with it the ideas just flowed.

card no. 1:

If you have read my blog before you will know that I am a big fan of wreath designs and often use the technique Stamping In The Round (SITR). However, not all images are suitable for this technique as most are actually too large. But never fear! When the image is on the large size I use another of my favourite techniques Stamp and Rotate. A Stamparatus is essential for both techniques.

Simply press your panel of cardstock into the corner of your Stamparatus, position your stamp and then ink up and stamp before turning the panel 90 degrees. Ink and stamp again, repeating 4 times in total.

Now for this card I did complicate things a bit by wanting different colours for the flowers and the leaves. It was a bit time consuming but I found it relaxing. Using Stampin’ Write Markers I coloured the particular sections of the image before stamping onto my panel of Whisper White. I continued colouring and stamping until I was happy and then rotated the panel and started the process again.

The sentiment is from another new bundle available tomorrow called Simply Succulents.

Card no. 2:

My second card is a CASE of a card found on page 8 of the Sale-A-Bration brochure.

This time I positioned my card base in the corner of my Stamparatus, stamped the image and flipped the card 180 degrees. I then cleaned my stamp and repositioned so that I could stamp the ends. By doing this I made a pretty floral frame for my simple sentiment panel.

Card no. 3:

A colouring technique that I use often is masking and blending. This technique just got a whole lot easier with the release tomorrow of the Stampin’ Up! blending brushes. They are fanastic and make for a sensational result.

I often diecut shapes from masking paper and apply to my card base before layering on my chosen colours. It makes for sensational one layer cards. They may only be one layer but they have so much depth.

My colour palette for this card was inspired by this gorgeous piece of DSP. It is from the Fine Art Floral collection and is a must have. This suite of products can be found on pages 32 to 34 of the January – June 2021 Mini Catalogue. And best of all……you don’t need to wait long now until you can view all the new goodies.

The sentiment is from another new suite called Dandy Garden. You can see other samples made with this suite HERE and HERE.

Card no. 4:

My final card uses the large floral stamps from the Country Bouquet set as a silhouette. The two stamps actually nestle together nicely to form a lovely foreground. I stamped them onto a larger piece of cardstock and then cropped it down to suit my design. Again I used the new blending brushes to layer on the colour before adding my sentiment.

The finished panel was firstly matted with Basic Black and then a piece of DSP from another Sale-A-Bration item Oh So Ombre. All this was adhered to a white card base, which had an additional embossed matt attached to it.

introducing sale-a-bration:

Sale-A-Bration is back!!! YAY!!!

In 2021 Sale-A-Bration is a little different. Instead of one single Sale-A-Bration, the annual Sale-A-Bration event has been split in two! The first Sale-A-Bration event will take place from January to February, with the second beginning in July and ending in August.

For each event, only one Sale-A-Bration brochure will be released. Rather than feature multiple product releases in a short span of time, Sale-A-Bration products (and the brochures that tell you all about them) will now be released twice a year – once in January, and once in July. During each Sale-A-Bration event, the product offering will not change throughout the duration of the promotion.

These are terrific changes, but it means that you will need to be quick so that you don’t miss out on earning yourself FREE items.

Check back on 5 January when you will be able to download copies of both the January – June 2021 Mini Catalogue and Sale-A-Bration brochure.

If you would like a copy of the 2020-2021 Annual Catalogue, the January-June 2021 Mini Catalogue and/or Sale-A-Bration brochure, please contact me and I will pop one in the post for you.

Thanks Michele.
