Week 43 AWH Colour Creations Blog Hop – Rich Razzleberry

Week 43 and time to show off Rich Razzleberry. This week for my first card I have stuck to a square wreath design but I wanted to challenge myself with the colour scheme. I choose Grapefruit Grove, Flirty Flamingo and Granny Apple Green to complement the darker, richer colour.

I diecut a piece of vellum using the Foliage Frames framelits and used it behind the sentiment which is from Perennial Birthday. The panel was adhered to a piece of Gingham Gala dsp before being being mounted on the Rich Razzleberry card base. These are not colours I would normally put together but the floral stamping, also from the Perennial Birthday stamp set, helps to bring it all together.

My second card is simple but I do love the dramatic effect embossing adds to a card. I have used the Country Floral embossing folder that was available FREE during Sale-A-Bration however, any of the current embossing folders (Layered Leaves, Climbing Vine and Petal Burst etc) would work for this technique of partial embossing. I simply ran the cardstock panel through the Big Shot twice, once from each end of the panel, leaving a section of the panel un-embossed. I added a couple of diecuts, some gold thread and a greeting and the card was complete.

Your cards are both so beautiful! I love the partial embossing, and I’m definitely going to try that technique!

Michelle, I would not normally use those colours together either but they really look great! Thanks for hopping along tonight.
