Welcome to the Colour Creations Showcase……the 2020-2021 version. This weekly showcase is brought to you by the Stampin’ Up! Art With Heart Team, Australia.
Week Six: Bumble Bee
Bumble Bee is one of the new 2020-2022 In Colors…….and is a dusty medium yellow. There are several Bumble Bee products available in the 2020-2021 Annual Catalogue. These include Classic Stampin’ Pad, A4 Cardstock, Classic Stampin’ Ink Refill, 2020-2022 In Color Ribbon, Gingham Ribbon and the 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper 2020-2022 In Color Assortment.
Bumble Bee is just one of the many colours used in the fabulous Whale of a Time 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper. This DSP has a glorious colour palette and some of the cutest paper designs you will ever see.
Bumble Bee can also be found in the Flowers for Every Season DSP. This gorgeous DSP features all five of the fresh new 2020-2022 In Colors. A must have!!!
The third designer series paper to include Bumble Bee as part of its colour palette is the World of Good specialty pack. This DSP also features Cinnamon Cider and Misty Moonlight (both new In Colours), other favourite neutrals and a touch of brass. It is perfect for documenting your travels (obviously pre Covid-19) as well as cards celebrating a person’s retirement, wishing someone Bon Voyage or for masculine birthdays, Father’s Day, etc.
my card:
My card features some of the beautiful papers found in the fourth designer series paper pack to include Bumble Bee – Ornate Garden, which is a personal favourite of mine because of its vintage and nostalgic feel.
I like to keep all my scraps, so using one of the dies from the Ornate Layers set, I simply diecut stitched rectangles from some of my left over pieces of DSP. I used a greeting from Forever Fern, which I stamped using Early Expresso. The Whisper White panel on which the sentiment is stamped was diecut using another die from the Ornate Layers set. The gold thread is from the Forever Greenery Trim Combo Pack and I also scattered a few Gilded Gems around the finished card. These help to bring out the gold foiling on some of the patterned paper. The leaves are from the To A Wild Rose stamp set. They were stamped using Old Olive on Old Olive cardstock before being diecut using the coordinating dies – Wild Rose.
Thanks for visiting but, there is so much more to see. Please hop back to Catherine’s blog where you will find links to all the other team members and their gorgeous creations.

Gorgeous Michelle, great use of left over strips of patterned paper, teamed with the leaves is just perfect.
This is such a bright and gorgeous card Michele. I love the combination of DSP’s and the little touches of gold accents.
Beautiful way to showcase this lovely colour, Michele. I love how those stitched rectangles are the perfect size to “stack” on a card front. Gorgeous!
A very pretty card Michelle. Love how you’ve manged to make a feature of the papers. Very pretty.
Michelle this is a great combination of colours and papers – I love what you’ve done! Thank you for inspiring us all with your Bumblebee creations xx
Beautiful Card Michelle, mixing up the DSP and they all go together really well.
Well this is a very cool card and very pretty. Love how you have used the DSP to make this card and how you have layered it so that the patterns are broken up and not too busy.
Great way to showcase the Designer Series paper and the colour. A good sample to have to show customers.
Your card is so pretty, Michelle. I love how you’ve included a few different papers from the pack without it being overwhelming. The sentiment panel is wonderful!
