AWHT Colour Creations Blog Hop | Week 16 – Early Espresso

Welcome to the Art With Heart Team, Colour Creations Blog Hop, for 2021-2022. Each week members of the team will showcase a current colour (in alphabetical order) from the extensive Stampin’ Up! range.

Week 16: Early Espresso

I love Early Espresso and use it often as an alternative to black. It really is a most useful Neutral as it coordinates with so many other colours and is stunning when paired with metallics such as gold and copper.

You will find a number of products in the 2021-2022 Annual Catalogue that feature Early Espresso including – Classic Stampin’ Pad, cardstock, ink refill, Neutrals Designer Series Paper pack, Neutrals Stampin’ Write Markers, Watercolour Pencils and the Faux Suede Ribbon.

Because it is such a lovely neutral, Early Espresso is used in the colour palettes of a number of designer series papers – Beauty of the Earth, Blackberry Beauty, Gingerbread & Peppermint, In Good Taste, Painted Christmas and You’re a Peach.

But my favourite product to feature the colour Early Espresso is……

This gorgeous DSP makes designing and making beautiful cards super easy.

My cards:

Both cards today feature the stunning Blackberry Beauty designer series paper.

I teamed it with dies from the Meadow set which coordinate with the Quiet Meadow stamp set.

Card no. 1:

When a piece of paper is this lovely you really don’t need to do much to it, in fact, less is very much more. A frame of Gold Shimmer Vellum, silhouetted floral, stacked labels with a simple greeting, a bow of linen thread and a butterfly floating by and my card was complete.

Card no. 2:

To this pretty panel I added a touch of gold in the floral elements and bodies of the butterflies. I again used one of the Tasteful Labels to ground the elements and greeting on my card. These label dies are one that I use so often that they actually sit in a box on my craft table along with my other most used stamps and dies.
