AWHT Colour Creations Showcase – Cinnamon Cider

Welcome to the Colour Creations Showcase……the 2020-2021 version. This weekly showcase is brought to you by the Stampin’ Up! Art With Heart Team, Australia.

This week’s showcase coincides with the release fo the new August – December 2020 Mini Catalogue. There is so just so much to love in this new mini. I mean who doesn’t love Christmas crafting!!! My cards today feature products that can be found in the catalogue. This cute video is a short intro to the catalogue and all the goodness that it contains.

Week Ten: Cinnamon Cider

Cinnamon Cider is a new 2020-2022 In Color. As it is one of the latest In Colors, there are quite a few Cinnamon Cider products available in the 2020-2021 Annual Catalogue. These include Classic A4 Cardstock, Stampin’ Pad, Classic Stampin’ Ink Refill, Stampin’ Blends, 2020-2022 In Color Ribbon and the 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper 2020-2022 In Color Assortment, to name a few.

Cinnamon Cider can also be found in the Flowers for Every Season DSP. This gorgeous DSP features all five of the fresh new 2020-2022 In Colors. A must have!!!

The second designer series paper to include Cinnamon Cider as part of its colour palette is the World of Good specialty pack. This DSP also features Bumble Bee and Misty Moonlight (both new In Colours), other favourite neutrals and a touch of brass. It is perfect for documenting your travels (obviously pre Covid-19) as well as cards celebrating a person’s retirement, wishing someone Bon Voyage or for masculine birthdays, Father’s Day, etc.

Yet another gorgeous designer series paper to feature Cinnamon Cider is called Playful Pets and it is FUN!!! If you are a lover of dogs and/or cats or you know someone who is……this needs to go on your list. Even better, there are coordinating products such as a stamp and die bundle, trim combo pack and the cutest little trinkets you have ever seen. This suite really makes me smile. 🙂

It makes our two little snaggles smile too!!! Frankie (left) is Cinnamon Cider in colour and Barnie, Early Espresso. 😉

my cards:

Both of my cards feature a new bundle, Love of Leaves, which can be found in the recently released August – December 2020 Mini Catalogue. The dies are the BOMB!!! Not only do they diecut the stitched leaves (stitching is on both the outside and inside), they can also add the stitched vein details because the each die come in two separate pieces. There is also a large stitched background die as well. It is a little hard to describe just how gorgeous and versatile these dies are, but believe me, you need them.

card number 1:

My first card uses the largest leaf stamp and just the matching stitched vein die. After stamping the leaf in Cinnamon Cider and Early Espresso on Cinnamon Cider cardstock I placed the stitched vein die over the stamped leaf and ran it through my diecutting/embossing machine. I love the effect. The sentiment is from the Love of Leaves stamp set and was stamped using Early Espresso onto Shimmery White. The completed panel was attached to a Shimmery White notecard before I added a few Gilded Gems.

card number 2:

My second card is a CASE of a card that can be found on page 49 of the August – December 2020 Mini Catalogue. After using my Stamparatus to layer both Cinnamon Cider and Early Espresso ink on my leaves I diecut them using both the outline die and inner stitched vein die. The Shimmery White panel was embossed with the large stitched background die and the panel matted with a piece of DSP from the new Plaid Tidings 6″ x 6″ paper pack. The card base is Cinnamon Cider.

This lovely designer series paper pack also features Cinnamon Cider and lots of other lovely colour combinations.

Thanks for visiting but, there is so much more to see. Please hop back to Catherine’s blog where you will find links to all the other team members and their gorgeous creations.

Fantastic cards Michele. I just love this stamp and die set – it’s in my current order and I can’t wait to get it and play lots!

  2. Diane Furniss

Love these cards Michele, I think I need this bundle now, I have just flown past that page before but you have given me food for thought. Thank you.

  3. Judy May

I love the layered colour on your leaves, Michele. It looks awesome with the stitched veins and background. I’ve been wavering on this bundle and you might have just tipped me over the edge, lol.

  4. Ros Davidson

How realistic does the leaves look with the veins! Great cards and I hadn’t really noticed them in the catalogue and now you made me want them…

  5. Vicki Boucher

Both your cards are amazing! I love the Loyal Leaves Bundle, it’s on my wish list.

  6. Kat

Thank you for showcasing those beautiful leaves! I knew I needed those dies!

  7. Rachel Palmieri

Your dogs are very handsome Michele. It’s impossible to pick a favourite from your pair of cards, they are both so striking. I think the stitched veins are very striking.

  8. Tina Gillespie

Oh, I’m seriously off to have another look at that bundle! I’d skipped over it, but you had me with ‘stitched’ LOL! Your cards are gorgeous, and I especially love the veins in the first card. A subtle, but lovely, touch.

  9. Christine Blain

You’ve used some of my favourite products from the Mini Catalogue, Michele. I love that you added the stitched vein detail to the stamped leaves, without cutting them out, on your first card. I love the detail so much! Beautiful use of colour on your second card. Lovely creations!

  10. Kate Morgan

Great cards, Michele, both lovely with those stitched leaves, but I do love the second one with the extra pop of colour. Your puppies are adorable too!

  11. Rachel Woollard

Your cards are as gorgeous as your puppies, beautiful work Michele

  12. Catherine Proctor

Michele I know I should be commenting on your card but seriously how cute are Frankie and Barnie!!! Back to the cards which are just perfect for this colour – I love the simple elegance of your first card best of all. Thanks for inspiring us all with your Cinnamon Cider creation tonight xx
