AWHT Colour Creations Showcase – Melon Mambo

Welcome to the Colour Creations Showcase……the 2020-2021 version. This weekly showcase is brought to you by the Stampin’ Up! Art With Heart Team, Australia.

Week 25: Melon Mambo

Melon Mambo is one of the colours in the Stampin’ Up! Brights collection…….and is a bright mid tone pink. There are several Melon Mambo products available in the 2020-2021 Annual Catalogue. These include Classic Stampin’ Pad, A4 Cardstock, Classic Stampin’ Ink Refill, Stampin’ blends and the 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper Brights collection.

Melon Mambo also features in the super versatile Plaid Tidings DSP.

SNEAK PEEK ALERT!!!

My card today features several products from the upcoming January-June 2021 Mini Catalogue. Items will be available to purchase from 1 January 2021.

Stampin’ Up! demonstrators who attended OnStage@Home were able to order some products early.

I chose to order from the Fine Art Floral suite collection. The suite includes a stamp set and coordinating dies (available as a bundle – 10% discount), designer speciality acetate, ribbon, an embossing folder and designer series paper. The DSP is gorgeous and features painted florals on one side and more muted patterns on the other.

my card:

When making my Melon Mambo card I used a piece of the Golden Garden Designer Speciality Acetate. The pack includes three sheets of gold foiled acetate. It is glorious!!!

The flower is from the Art Gallery stamp set which is a Two-Step photopolymer set of 15 stamps. I stamped the first part of the flower using Melon Mambo ink and for the second, I used white craft ink. I used my Stamparatus so that I could apply several ‘coats’. I then cut it out using the coordinating die from the Floral Gallery set of dies.

I layered up two different sized stitched rectangles, the bottom one was embossed using the Subtle embossing folder. Between them I captured a piece of the Fine Art ribbon. It is flecked with gold and is stunning. A few gilded gems were added as a finishing touch.

The greeting is also from the Art Gallery stamp set. I am totally smitten with the font and sentiments in this set and can’t wait to share more products from the collection in the coming weeks.

Thanks for visiting but, there is so much more to see. Please hop back to Catherine’s blog where you will find links to all the other team members and their Melon Mambo creations.

If you would like to purchase any of the products that I used when creating this card, the links are included below. If you would like a copy of the 2020-2021 Annual Catalogue and/or the August-December 2020 Mini Catalogue, please contact me and I will pop one in the post for you.

Thanks Michele.
