How many Stamping’ Dimensionals is too many? I just love the light and shade they give my cards. I am also in love with the Stitched Labels framelits. They are just so pretty and versatile. Here I made them the feature on a Christmas card. I added a small amount of Festive Farmhouse dsp to the corners and embossed the front panel with the Subtle embossing folder before piling up the stitched labels, some more designer series paper and a simple greeting from the Mistletoe Season stamp set. I also added some foliage. For this I used a really old die that is long since retired, however, there are so many beautiful and versatile alternatives available in the Annual Catalogue. You could try Flourish Thinlits, Eclectic Layers Thinlits, Foliage Frame Framelits or May Flowers Framelits. These are all lovely and add that extra little embellishment to your cards. I also use a number of my dies when embellishing my scrapbook pages. Too often I needed three flowers but there were only two in the embellishment pack, so I started making my own. It is really easy, you are able to make embellishments that match your page exactly, and you don’t end up with lots and lots of left over embellishments that you will never use. Hands up if you have ever bought a pack of embellishments for one particular embellishment. Yes!!! We are all guilty of that! So why not invest in a set of framelits/thinlits that you will use over and over again?
Don’t forget that if you live in Australia and are looking for a Stamping’ Up! Demonstrator I would love to help you in your creative endeavours.
