Mix and Match on Monday – Tufted Embossing Folder meets All is Calm DSP

Today’s card is an easy one that uses scraps of the All is Calm designer series paper that I have been hoarding because I love the colour combination so much. I simply diecut squares from my scraps of dsp and glued them onto a piece of Whisper White cardstock before placing the whole piece inside the Tufted embossing folder and running it through my BigShot. I then sprayed the panel with Champagne Mist Shimmer Paint, cut it down to size and added a matt before adhering to my card base.

Sadly both Lost Lagoon and Soft Sky have been discontinued but Smoky Slate and Pear Pizzazz are still available. These could certainly be teamed up with Mint Macaron, Pool Party, Soft Sea Foam, etc for a dreamy and different Christmas colour theme. I think that some of the B sides of the Festive Farmhouse  and Twinkle Twinkle designer series papers lend themselves beautifully to this quilted technique.

I added a greeting from the Peaceful Noel stamp set which I matted using the Layering Ovals framelits. A few sprigs of Pear Pizazz and Smoky Slate and a single rhinestone and the card was complete.

I hope you will try this technique with your scraps of Christmas designer series paper and one of the new embossing folders from either the Annual or Holiday catalogues. Hmmm! Wouldn’t the Tin Tile embossing folder look great with this technique………I’m off to give it a go!!!
