Mix and Match on Monday – Cheerful Christmas meets Tin Tile

Exciting times ahead with the release of the Occasions catalogue early in the new year. Lots of news also coming out after the OnStage events. One huge announcement is that Stampin’ Up will be releasing new ‘cling’ stamps. WOW! More stamps to use in my Stamparatus.

I love the large sentiment from the now retired Cheerful Christmas Stamp Set. It has a sort of homespun look about it so I thought that it would work well with the Tin Tile embossing folder. After converting the stamp set from wood to clear mount I was able to use it in my Stamparatus, so that I could colourise it. It really is just so easy to do when using the Stamparatus and a Shammy. No more ‘huffing’ required. Because you can stamp again and again you are able to apply each colour separately. I matted the stamped panel with a piece of Under the Mistletoe designer paper. I added some Braided Linen Thread, some white Polka Dot Tulle Ribbon and lots of red rhinestones. I also embossed the front of the card base with the Subtle embossing folder. I certainly am loving the dimension that embossing folders add to a project.

Another retired stamp set given a new life. Another Christmas card made. Another stamp set converted. Although at this rate it will be a few years before I have all my stamps converted.
