Welcome to the Art With Heart Team’s Colour Creations Blog Hop for 2022-2023. Each week members of the team will showcase a colour from the extensive Stampin’ Up! range. We begin our blog hop with the fabulous NEW 2022-2024 In Colors and will then continue to showcase the entire Stampin’ Up! range, in alphabetical order.
Week 4: Sweet Sorbet
I am definitely not a lover of red or pink but for some reason this pinky red really appeals to me. Real Red says Christmas to me and Poppy Parade is a bit bright but this one seems to be just right and I have been using it a lot already.
Being an In Color you will find a number of products in the 2022-2023 Annual Catalogue that feature Sweet Sorbet.
But my favourite product to feature the colour Sweet Sorbet is……
My cards – Set A:
My first two cards, which were part of my launch samples, feature the Tea Boutique suite, In Color 2022-2024 DSP and include a wreath design using the Sending Smiles stamp set.
I love the way the teacup I diecut from one of the designs in the Tea Boutique DSP collection looks so similar to my Royal Albert teacup. My much loved aunt gave us a complete set of Royal Albert as an engagement present. For a number of years after, I received an additional piece on my birthday. These included a range of serving plates, coffee pot, display pieces, vases etc. These all still sit proudly on display in our home. Whenever she came to visit I would use them to serve lunch or afternoon tea. Since her passing they have become a wonderful reminder of the generous and loving person that she was.
I used the ‘stamp and rotate’ technique when creating this wreath design. This simple techniques uses a Stamparatus. Simply place your square panel in the corner, position the first of your selected stamps, stamp and then rotate 90 degrees and stamp again. Repeat until the image has been stamped four times. Change the stamped and begin the next rotation. Repeat until your design is complete.
I also made a tea box as part of my launch collection.
My cards – Set B:
My second set of cards features the fabulous Lovely in Linen suite of products. This suite includes DSP, a stamp and punch bundle and an embossing folder.
I really did overlook this suite the first couple of times I read through the catalogue. Please do not do the same. It is a MUST have!!! I love how you can combine all the various greetings, smaller images and the punch to create a variety of sentiments. And, that embossing folder is just glorious.
Both of these cards are super simple. The designer series paper does all the work. The large image on the first card was stamped using Sweet Sorbet before being embossed. I used the scroll image on the greeting panel as it replicated the scrolls in the DSP.
The leaves and small flower in the photo below come from the Cup of Tea bundle but I felt they worked so well back with this very sweet floral paper.
Don’t forget to give the inside of your card and the envelope a bit of a jazz up too.

I’ve dwelled on your post for quite some time tonight Michele, there’s just so much to take in. I’m amazed at all the creations you’ve shared, and feel hopeful that I might have time to attempt to recreate some of them. Everyone of them is quite lovely, thank you for sharing.
Wow Michele, what a great array of beautiful cards. I love you story about your aunt and the wonderful memories. The Orchid Oasis flowers on the first card look fantastic with Sweet Sorbet. The Lovely in Linen suite I did overlook, but you have made a gorgeous card with it. The embossing is lovely!
So many beautiful cards Michelle, Please don’t ask me to pick a favourite.
For someone who isn’t a fan of pink/red you’ve done well! Your cards are all so lovely, but I especially like the teacup card. My mum has the same Royal Albert set, so your story about your set made me smile.
Love all your cards and tea box Michele and that Royal Albert tea set is beautiful along with those memories of your aunt to cherish. But I just love the last two cards particularly the embossed one! That EF is DEFINITELY on my wish list now.
For “not a lover of red”, you’re excelling with your creations using this lovely red, Michele! As always, the wreath card is just delightful. My favourite of all your cards is the third one. The beautiful floral image, showcasing Sweet Sorbet so nicely, looks extra-dramatic with the dry-embossing of the panel. Lovely cards/projects. 🙂
Michelle, I had overlooked the fabulous Lovely in Linen suite of products, but after seeing your beautiful cards I’m popping it onto my wishlist! I love your tea cup cards as well!
Another beautiful Stamparatus card Michele and I love your use of the Lovely in Linen DSP
Love these cards! Thank you for showcasing the Lovely in Linen as I haven’t seen it used much and it is lovely.
