AWHT Colour Creations Blog Hop | Week 34 – Pear Pizzazz

Welcome to the Art With Heart Team, Colour Creations Blog Hop, for 2021-2022. Each week members of the team will showcase a current colour (in alphabetical order) from the extensive Stampin’ Up! range.

Week 34: Pear Pizzazz

You will find a number of products in the 2021-2022 Annual Catalogue and January to June 2022 Mini Catalogue that feature Pear Pizzazz.

But my favourite products to feature the colour Pear Pizzazz are……

Green is my favourite colour and Pear Pizzazz is one of my favourite Stampin’ Up! colours, so I am therefore drawn to any designer series paper that features this lovely muted green. I purchased a pack of the Artfully Composed DSP in December and it is all gone, already!!! To be honest I was a little intimidated by the large all over patterns but once it arrived, I found it very easy to work with……and besides……the B-Sides are glorious!

Card no. 1:

My first card features the wonderful Oceanfront stamp set. To create the sun I used a small circle punched from the sticky part of a post it note. I then stamped the sky and the grassy areas.

I added the stand of trees using a stamp from the On the Horizon stamp set. The small flock of birds is from Mountain Air.

The greeting is also from the On the Horizon stamp set and did you notice the pebbles/rocks? These wonderful enamel shapes add a lovely finishing touch to my card.

When complete my stamped panel was diecut using a stitched rectangle and adhered to a slightly larger stitched rectangle of DSP, before being attached to a Pear Pizzazz card base with dimensionals.

Cards no. 2 & 3:

Both of these cards feature the Artfully Composed DSP and Pear Pizzazz card bases. I DID say that green was my favourite colour.

The Artfully Layered bundle features fabulous dies and some really great sentiments in a modern font.

The Tropical Layered dies that form part of this bundle are perfect for layering as you will see in my next and final card.

Card no. 4:

My final card features my very last strip of Artfully Composed designer series paper, the gorgeous vellum and dies that are also part of the Artfully Composed suite and a Sale-a-bration item……Driving By.

The ‘map’ vellum works so well with this very cute combie van.

This card would be perfect for someone heading off on a dream vacation or even for a person who is retiring.

Wow, you certainly were super-inspired by Pear Pizzazz!! Your cards are all so wonderful, but I especially love the first card. I live on a golf course, and the card reminds me of the view I have out my back window.

  2. Claire Daly

Wow Michelle, you have been so busy! I really love your Pear Pizazz cards. My favourite is the first card. Beautiful stamping and the effect is so peaceful. Perfect placement of the ‘rocks’ too.

  3. Kate Morgan

Wonderful cards, Michele. Is it weird that they all just make me take a deep breathe and go Ahhh? They are so serene, especially the first one. I think I am going to need that Oceanfront set now! Your tropical cards judt make me smile, beautiful.

  4. Caroline Manwaring

Michele, I love how you have created so many different looks to showcase Pear Pizzazz on your cards. From relaxing and serene, to bold, bright and uplifting. My dad owned a combi and I loved driving it around town – your card brings back wonderful memories of trips in it, thank you x.

  5. Theresa Gerrard

I agree with you Michele, Pear Pizzazz is also my favourite green as are the “B”sides of this DSP. You have however showcased the A sides beautifully as well. The combi card is especially cute.

  6. Andrea Sargent

Oh Michele, 4 lovely cards. You have been busy creating with a lovely colour. All so gorgeous. You have combined stamp sets brilliantly on your first card and the use of the Artfully Layered Suite is gorgeous. I love the combie backed by the Artfully Layered suite – it is so cute.

  7. Rosa Leyden

Wow a fabulous set of cards Michele! Love love the shades of greens, the gorgeous layering and your subtle use of large patterned paper. The last card is just gorgeous as I love the cute combi van.

  8. CHRISTINE BLAIN

What a beautiful array of cards to show off this lovely green, Michele! Love the scene you stamped, and the enamel pebbles are a great finishing touch. I agree with you, about the stunning DSP (although I’ve hardly cut into mine yet!). I love how you’ve used it on these cards.

  9. Catherine Proctor

Michele, your 4 gorgeous cards really show how much you love Pear Pizzazz! Card 1 makes me feel so relaxed, cards 2 and showcase the DSP and I just love the tropical vibes of card 4!
