AWHT Colour Creations Blog Hop | Week 24 – Magenta Madness

Welcome to the Art With Heart Team, Colour Creations Blog Hop, for 2021-2022. Each week members of the team will showcase a current colour (in alphabetical order) from the extensive Stampin’ Up! range.

Week 24: Magenta Madness

You will find a number of products in the 2021-2022 Annual Catalogue and July to December 2021 Mini Catalogue that feature Magenta Madness including – Classic Stampin’ Pad, cardstock, ink refill, Stampin’ Blends, 2020-2022 In Color Designer Series Paper pack, 2020-2022 In Color Stampin’ Write Markers and Rainbow Glimmer paper.

But my favourite product to feature the colour Magenta Madness is……

For the second week in a row my card features this gorgeous paper.

My card:

My card also uses the coordinating bundle. These lovely images stamp beautifully. Being Distinktive™ stamps, there is a lot of lovely light and shade in the stamping. Just a word of warning when using Distinktive™ stamps……your ink pad needs to be a little on the dryer side. If you have a new ink pad or one that is very juicy, try conditioning it first, with a bone folder or the back of a spoon. Conditioning simply means, to move some of the excess ink held in the middle of your ink pad, to the sides.

This is a very ‘over the top’ card for me but because all the products coordinate so well, it works. I actually find this floral pattern intimidating but I was determined to use it. I think that the white tag gives your eyes somewhere to rest and I deliberately kept the sentiment to a bare minimum.

I stamped a coordinating image on the envelope and adhered a strip of the gold and white stripe across the bottom of the inside of the card.

A double bow of linen thread was my finishing touch.

This card is not “over the top” it is just perfect. I love the way you’ve used the white tag too, very nice indeed.

Your card is beautiful Michele but I do agree with you that the white tag works beautifully to break up the DSP

All of the elements on your card work so beautifully together Michele. The white tag was a great idea to settle the eye from all the vibrancy of the pink and gold. Just gorgeous!

Nothing “over the top” about this card, except for its beauty, Michele! You have put everything together so beautifully, and I agree, the white tag breaks up the boldness and busy-ness of the patterns … just right.
