AWHT Colour Creations Showcase – Mossy Meadow

Welcome to the Colour Creations Showcase……the 2020-2021 version. This weekly showcase is brought to you by the Stampin’ Up! Art With Heart Team, Australia.

Week 29: Mossy Meadow

Mossy Meadow is one of the colours in the Stampin’ Up! Neutrals collection…….and is a deep green. There are several Mossy Meadow products available in the 2020-2021 Annual Catalogue. These include Classic Stampin’ Pad, A4 Cardstock, Classic Stampin’ Ink Refill, Stampin’ blends and the 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper Neutrals collection.

Mossy Meadow also features in the super versatile World of Good DSP (pictured below) and in several new products from the soon to be released January-June 2021 Mini Catalogue.

SNEAK PEEK ALERT!!!

My card today features several products from the new catalogue. Items will be available to purchase from 5 January 2021.

The colour palette for this designer series paper is gorgeous.

my card:

When making my Mossy Meadow card I used pieces of the Dandy Garden DSP as both my large and small matts. Inking the edges with sponge daubers gives the DSP some depth and covers the white edges. I really like this technique and use it often.

I used the cluster of butterflies stamp to create my wreath shape. Then, I used Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blends to ‘roughly’ colour in each butterfly. I really thought that I should include a Stampin’ In The Round (SITR) design for my last card of the year. You know I love a wreath. 😉

The large dragonfly was punched from one of the designer series papers and then sprayed with shimmer paint. I also coloured some rhinestone basic jewels with my Mossy Meadow dark Stampin’ Blend before adhering them to the card and the dragonfly.

The Dandy Garden Suite really is beautiful. It includes the items I have used today plus another stamp set, dies, braided linen thread, ladybug trinkets, laser-cut paper, a Memories and More card pack and Memories and More cards and envelopes.

Thanks for visiting but, there is so much more to see. Please hop back to Catherine’s blog where you will find links to all the other team members and their Mossy Meadow creations.

This is our last showcase for 2020. I have enjoyed contributing each week and look forward to continuing to do so in 2021. Join us on Wednesday 6 January when we will be back……this time showcasing one of my favourites……Night of Navy.

If you would like to purchase any of the products that I used when creating this card, the links are included below. If you would like a copy of the 2020-2021 Annual Catalogue and/or the January-June 2021 Mini Catalogue, please contact me and I will pop one in the post for you.

Wishing everyone and their families a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Thanks Michele.

A wreath of insects – that’s different but really, so logical. Love

  4. Caroline Manwaring

Just gorgeous, Michele. So pleased that you closed out the year with an SITR card.

  5. Rachel Woollard

Great card Michele, I love how you’ve used the butterflies to make a “flock” of butterflies

  6. Diane Furniss

Love how the butterflies seem to float around the card. I love it Michele so very creative.

  7. Kate Morgan

Wow, those butterflies are perfect for this SITR technique and you make this suite so much more appealing. The dark Mossy Meadow colour really made me doubt these papers, but you have certainly hit that out of the park!

  8. Tina Gillespie

oooh, so pretty! I can just imagine lying in a field and looking up at the sky as a kaleidoscope of butterflies flutters past.

  9. CHRISTINE BLAIN

I just love how you’ve used those butterflies, Michele … a perfectly fitting end to the year of sharing Colour Creations. It would have been disappointing if you hadn’t made a card using SITR! Beautiful use of Mossy Meadow, and these lovely new products.

Honestly Michelle this is the most creative use of that cluster of butterflies stamp I have ever seen! So creative – I love that you’ve created a wreath card as the final card of the year. Thank you for creativity, inspiration and participation in the colour creations blog hop in 2020 x
