I know that we all love a new catalogue and all the gorgeous new goodies inside. However, there are sometimes retired stamp sets and dies that really just appeal to you and your style that you just can’t seem to part with. The Penned & Painted stamp set is one of those for me. And then along comes the Best Dressed DSP!!! Did anyone else notice just how well the flowers in the Penned & Painted stamp set matched the flowers in one of the floral papers?
My card:
I cut a panel of the DSP and adhered it to the front of a Lovely Lipstick standard sized card. Using the stamps from the retired stamp set I stamped a design on a small piece of Whisper White cardstock before diecutting it out using a label die from the Wild Rose set of dies. I also stamped the envelope to match.
The sentiment is from the Rooted in Nature stamp set. The font is lovely and the sentiment perfect for any number of occasions or reasons. I also tucked in some foliage behind the label for some dimension and texture. This larger leaf die can be found in the Frosted Bouquet die set. The smaller ones are sadly from another favourite but retired set – Foliage Framelits……yet another one I am loathed to give away or sell.
I do know that I must part with some older stock to make room for new products BUT it can be just so hard letting go!!! 🙂 Oh well. I am happy that I got to use this stamp set at least one more time.
If you would like to purchase any of the products that I used when creating these cards, the links are included below. If you would like a copy of either the 2019/2020 Annual Catalogue and/or the January – June 2020 Mini Catalogue (including the Sale-A-Bration brochure), please contact me and I will pop one in the post for you.
Thanks Michele.
