Heart of Christmas | Whimsy & Wonder

Welcome to the 2021 edition of Heart of Christmas brought to you by the Art With Heart Stampin’ Up! Team. This year, we will be showcasing all the fabulous seasonal supplies that Stampin’ Up! have on offer, on a weekly basis and in the form of a Blog Hop.

My cards tonight all feature the Whimsy & Wonder designer series paper and to be honest, nothing much else. In fact this beautiful paper is the hero on my cards.

card no.1:

My first card uses the lovely holly paper, a narrow matt of Mossy Meadow, a greeting (stamped directly onto a more subtle piece of the DSP), clear gems and a large twine bow.

card no.2:

I followed the same recipe for my second card, letting the gorgeous designer series paper, do all the work. This card features the same clear gems, greeting and twine bow but in this case, the matt is Misty Moonlight.

Please note: The twine I used is a retired item. However, an alternative would be to use either Linen Thread, Silver Thread or White Baker’s Twine. All of these options would work very well with this lovely paper.

card no.3:

My third card uses all my offcuts. I have very little left of this pack of paper so I wanted to ensure that I used up every single skerrick. The matt is Polished Pink and the card base Misty Moonlight. I love these little holly leaves which can be found in the Christmas Trimmings set of dies.

All three cards use greetings from my absolute favourite Christmas set of all time. I love the sentiments themselves but I really love the mix of fonts.

Art With Heart Team | Heart of Christmas blog hop:

It’s now time to hop on over to our next participant, the lovely and talented Kate Morgan. I can’t wait to see what she’s made this week!

If at any time you find a broken link, please head to the blog of Tina Gillespie who is this week’s host of the Heart of Christmas Blog Hop. There you will find the list of all who are participating this week.

Enjoy the rest of the hop and thanks for stopping by this week. I hope to see you back here next Monday, when the team will have more of their inspiration and wonderful creations to share with you.

In the meantime if you would like a copy of either the 2021-2022 Annual Catalogue or the July – December 2021 Mini Catalogue please contact me and I will pop one in the post for you.

Three gorgeous cards, Michele. Isn’t that DSP amazing! Card 2 is my favourite, I love all those pinks and the Misty Moonlight background.

  2. Rosa Leyden

Gorgeous cards Michele and loving the fancy twine bows behind the sponged greeting labels. And love the idea of using off cuts in your third card as I have a few of those!

  3. Andrea Sargent

Brilliant cards Michele. I agree that the Whimsy and Wonder DSP is gorgeous and the designs are lovely to simply feature on your cards. I love your twine bows behind you the labels. The card with the DSP strips is a great way to honour every last piece of DSP. Xxx

  4. Kate Morgan

Yes you are totally correct, Michele, the patterns of this paper pack are the hero. You have created some gorgeous Christmas cards using my favourite papers. I especially love those big pink twine bows!!!

  5. CHRISTINE BLAIN

*Sigh* … such beautiful cards, Michele! I love the sentiments stamped on contrasting DSP on your first two cards. The loopy twine embellishments, and clear gems, are gorgeous additions. Your “offcut” card is quite the masterpiece in making the most of paper scraps. To my eye, it looks like presents, on a shelf (amongst other shelves). Love them all!

  6. Rachel Woollard

Lovely ca4s Michele, I’m loving all of these non traditional coloured cards

  7. Catherine Proctor

Michelle, your DSP is the hero but you have made it even better with your stamping of the sentiments on this DSP!

  8. Tina Gillespie

Your cards are all so beautiful. I especially love the third, as it’s difficult to use up all those strips of DSP sometimes – this is a fabulous way to use them!
